Girl vs Squirrelby *Lithium-Tears

Alternate title was "Squirrel Staring Contest"

This was one of those really unplanned pieces...it started with a sketch of the girl sitting which I decided to paint, then I noticed it looked like she was starting at something, so I thought "what should she be staring at?" at first it was gonna be a crow, but then I thought too typical so I chose a squirrel. I dont know why I chose a squirrel. Squirrels are cute and always look like they have the potential to go psycho on you.

So yea, I kept painting more and more and this came out. The dress and tree are the same color because they are painted with the same brown ink. I bought it recently and wanted to test it out. I also used watercolor, gouache and tiny bit of marker. Pretty pleased with the colors, as I don't usually do earthy color schemes that often.

So yep. Largely an experimental piece really. I think I'm going to start putting more time and detail into my pieces from now on too, but I'll still upload quicker ones as well..
